摘要：Leptomeningeal carcinomatosis is one of possible complications of malignant tumors, mostly breast and lung cancer and malignant melanoma, although it occurs with other malignant tumors as well. It presents with various clinical features, and in diagnosis, neuroimaging methods (MRI) and cytobiochemical analysis of cerebrospinal fluid are essential. The therapy is palliative (radiotherapy and administering of cythostatics), with maximal surviving period of up to 6 months. We report two cases of leptomeningeal carcinoma treated at our Department. In both cases the underlying tumor was adenocarcinoma of the breast, with lethal outcome relatively shortly after discharge from hospital
