摘要：Paranoia is a chronic mental disorder which does not lead to personality disintegration and devastation and usually commence after the age of 30 in persons who are predisposed for this psychopathology and frequently with a high IQ. With regard to the content of delusional ideas litigation querulans, or paranoia querulans, can be distinguished, characterised by a tendency for incessant litigation, arising from the patient's beliefs of own unrecognized rights, merits and significance. We report a forensic psychiatric case of a male patient diagnosed with paranoia querulans. Because of the nature of the disorder and necessity for social protection, the patient's competence for participation in legal processes, making decisions about own treatment and management of larger sums of money were restricted. It was recommended that a custodian should be appointed to represent the patient's as well as general social interests
