摘要:Child abuse is besides traffic accidents the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in childhood. According to American authors, 6.9 million children are abused annually. As many as 97% of children aged up to 3 years are physically punished. Abuse leaves severe consequences on psychological, physical and social development of a child. A common phenomenon is transgenerational transfer of abusing when the person abused in childhood becomes the abuser. Child abuse or neglect includes all kinds of physical and/or emotional abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, commercial use or any other maltreatment of children leading to real or potential harm to the child's health, proper development and dignity. We present a forensic case of a 13-year-old girl, who has been physically and emotionally abused since her early childhood, and consequences of the abuse on her emotional and psychological development
