摘要:Cerebral contusion is a clinical syndrome caused by localised or diffuse brain lesions. In modern studies, the degree of craniocerebral trauma is estimated exclusively on the basis of duration of posttraumatic amnesia (PTA). At the core of PTA is memory deficit, which is a direct consequence of cerebral trauma and indicates indirectly the level of consciousness. There are numerous studies dealing with permanent, particularly cognitive, deficits following cerebral trauma. As regards the right time for forensic psychiatric estimation, most authors agree that it should be done at least one year after the trauma. We present a case of forensic estimation of credibility of the witness, a 13- year-old girl who suffered cerebral contusion, to provide testimony on her attacker
