摘要:Cerebrovascular disease (CVD) in childhood has become a serious issue in the clinical research and practice due to its increasing incidence and complex clinical manifestations. The dynamics of the occurrence of CVD caused by various etiological factors demands for fast diagnostics that would confirm vascular lesion, exclude nonvascular disorders and determine the causes of the phenomenon. Diagnostic procedures, including brain CT and MRI, blood and urine tests, transcranial and carotid Doppler, holter monitoring and echocardiogram, are the basic minimum required to confirm or rule out a CVD. Treatment is determined by the etiology and clinical picture of the CVD; with necessary consideration for the therapeutic dosage in accordance with the child's body weight
