摘要:This study was conducted using a 36-item questionnaire measuring children's behavior and was filled in by parents. The study sample included parents of 1,128 boys and girls aged between 3.5 and 7.5 years (mean age of 5.63, with standard deviation of 1.02) from pre-school institutions in Novi Sad, Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica, and Backa Palanka. The analysis examined behavioral patterns based on children's age and gender. Results show that aggressiveness, exuberance, unrest, and other forms of externalizing behaviour are more frequently found in boys. Certain behavioral patterns change with age; e.g., contempt and stubbornness are more frequently exhibited by 7-year olds, while shyness and disobedience are more frequent in younger children. Understanding normal development of externalizing behavior provides a good basis for defining abnormalities at any age. The results of this study can help provide direction when discussing what is normal versus pathological children's behavior at a given age
