  • 摘要:The practice of forensic neuropsychological evaluation began to develop some more than twenty years ago and it became common during the last decade of the past century. In the world today, forensic neuropsychologists inform judges about cognitive, emotional and behavioral consequences of the lesions to the central nervous system (CNS), provide descriptions of characteristic cognitive-behavioral profiles, evaluate cognitive impairment, and determine premorbid levels of mental function. They are frequently asked to answer questions about the effects of psychosocial variables on manifestations of brain function or dysfunction. The subject of neuropsychological evaluations is most frequently the consequences of mild traumatic brain injury and the issues of mental deterioration related to organic brain syndromes, aging or dementias. The expansion of the subspecialty should be viewed in the light of the full affirmation of neuropsychology as a separate scientific discipline with a clearly defined methodology and subject of research. Nevertheless, standards of the practice of forensic neuropsychology have not yet been established, nor are there appropriate guidelines for expert witnesses in this field. There are ongoing debates about the ethical principles, theoretical differences between the clinical and forensic models, and how to ensure objectivity, fairness and integrity of forensic neuropsychology. This appears quite as expected, considering that neither have the standards and practice of its mother science - clinical neuropsychology - been clearly profiled. The paper suggests algorithms, several principles of what now may be called good forensic neuropsychological practice
