摘要:Recent advances in molecular biology and genetics have brought about the need to review and summmarize the present knowledge related to disorders of muscle contractility. Over the past two decades fundammental and genetic research has revealed that mutations of the genes controlling chlorine, sodium, potassium and calcium ion channels may cause disordered excitability of the muscle fibre membrane, which has promptmed delineation of a new group of diseases called ion channel disorders, or channelopathies. Understanding of the underlying biological processes enables appropriate diagnosis and treatment of myotonic disorders
