摘要:Depressive disorder occurs in 5% -9% of adolescents, it is often associated with chronicity and a positive family history, and often persists into adulthood. According to the modern classification systems ICD-10 and DSM-IV, the diagnostic criteria for depressive disorder are the same for adults and children, although the clinical picture of depression in adolescence is often characterized by specific behavioral problems, aggression, anger, boredom and somatic symptoms. In this article a brief overview of modern epidemiological and etiological research about adolescent depression is presented along with an overview of specific symptoms and the course of the disorder in this vulnerable period when it is often very difficult to identify and distinguish .symptoms. of puberty and genuine depressive disorder . The problem of comorbidity, of both physical and mental disorders, is pointed out, stressing the importance of an adequate diagnostic approach and assessment. Finally,treatment options for depressive disorders, including psychoeducation, individual psychotherapy, family interventions and drugs, are sumarized
