摘要：Software has been part of modern society for more than 50 years. Software development started off as a messy activity often mentioned as "code and fix". The software was written without much of a plan, and the design of the system was determined from many short term decisions. This worked well for small systems but as systems grew it became more difficult to add new features and bugs were harder to fix. This style of development was used for many years until an alternative was introduced: Methodology. Methodologies impose a disciplined process upon software development with the aim of making software development more predictable and more efficient.
