摘要:Though software agents employ some of the mechanisms and characteristics of objects, both are reasonably different. Current research and development of Agent Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE) focuses mainly on architectures, protocols and fra mework of agent based system. Several AOSE methodologies such as Passi, MaSE, Tropos, Gaia, Prometheus, ADELFE, Message were proposed and those methodologies are meant for providing the guidelines and the abstraction to be exploited in the various phases of agent-based software development such as analysis, design, implementation. PASSI (Process for Agent Societies Specification and Implementation) is a step-by-step requirement-to-code methodology for designing and developing multi-agent societies. By evaluating the lifecycle coverage of PASSI, it is understood that the methodology deals w ith analysis, design and implementation models for building agent based system whereas testing is not co nsidered much. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the scope for testing in PASSI methodology and to provide few insights of testing in the methodology
