  • 摘要:The hackin g is the greatest problem in the wireless local area network (WLAN). Many algorithms like DES, 3DES , AES,CAST, UMARAM an d RC6 have been used to prevent the outside attacks to eavesdrop o r prev ent the data to be tran sferred to th e end-user cor rectl y. Th e au then ticati on protocols h ave been used for auth entication and key -exchange processes. A UR5 sym met rical encr yption algorith m is propo sed i n thi s paper to p reven t the outside attacks to o btain any informati on from any data-exchan ge in Wireless Local Area Network(WLAN). This algorithm is called as UR5. The UR5 symmetrical algori thm avoids the key exchange between user s and redu ces the ti me taken for the encr yption, decryption, and authen tication proce sses. It op erate s at a data rate high er th an DES, 3DES, AES, UMARAM and RC6 algorith ms. I t is appli ed on a text file an d an image as an application. The encryption becomes more secu re an d hi gh data rate than DES,3DES,AES,CAST,UMARAM an d RC6
