摘要：In tod ay's informa tion age, information sharing and transfer has i ncrea sed exp onentiall y. The informa tion vulnerab le to unauthorised access a nd interceptio n, while in st orage or transmission. Cryptog raphy and Steg anog raphy are the two major techniques for secret co mmunica tion. The co ntent s of secret message are scra mbled in cryp tography, where a s in st eganography the secret messag e is embedded int o the cover medium. This paper presents a new generali zed model by combining cryptog raphic a nd stegano grap hic Technique. These two techniques encrypt the da ta as wel l as hide the encrypted dat a in anot her medi um s o the fact tha t a message b eing sent is concealed . In cryp tography we a re using advanced encryp tion standard (AES) a lgorithm to encrypt secret message and then alteratio n co mpo nent met hod is used to hid e encryp ted message. By using these two techni ques the security o f secret d ata i ncreases to two tier and a high qual ity of steg o image is ob tained
