摘要:This research represents an exploratory analysis of Kazakhstani B.Sc. student personal values. Students were given a list of items each of which represents a personal value in the following areas: professional, financial, family, social, community, spiritual, physical, or intellectual. The students had to rate how important each one is to them using a 5-point Likert-type scale. The findings indicate that students majoring in accounting rated all items higher than did students majoring in management; all business students – irrespective of their major – exhibited a strong desire to maintain a work-life balance, a weak desire to serve for the benefit of community, and a relatively low spiritual need. The academic and practical contribution of this article is that it gives an insight into an under-researched topic of personal values of today’s business students who tomorrow will become business leaders and business managers of young and perspective state of Kazakhstan.
