摘要:The use of GIS in project-based learning usually consists of implementing a GIS-based project by students in geography lessons. GIS projects provide a different way to understand and use geospatial technologies. In this project, secondary school students conducted a GIS project to analyze indoor air quality by determining the spatial distribution of carbon dioxide gas levels in their school. The 9thand 10thgrade students worked as a group to develop a detailed literature review about the effect of air quality on the performance and attention of students during class time and to measure the carbon dioxide levels using a sensor at sample points. These sample points were marked in the school building's plan for each floor. ArcGIS was used to generate layers to represent the school building plan and sample points with measurement values. Using the Inverse Distance Weighted interpolation method, the students determined the spatial distribution of carbon dioxide levels on each floor. The results of the interpolation method revealed that each classroom on each floor has a different distribution of carbon dioxide. GIS was an essential learning tool that introduced secondary school students to the usefulness of technology and helped them understand and solve a real problem
