摘要:The Romanian education system has lately undergone a series of new policies, changes or issues determined by a lack of adequacy with new requirements imposed by an ongoing evolution, by the increased interference of technology and internet in our lives, by the new tendencies we are exposed to as a consequence of the globalization process. Nowadays, when education has a crucial role in the knowledge-based society, the rate of factors that create is- sues in the education system has increased and aspects as school abandon, lack of interest for school, poor performance, inappropriate attitudes towards the education system, decreasing time allocated to school preparation, reluctance in continuing studies, are gaining ground. In order to provide solutions, to create motivating policies, we need to identify the caus- es, the factors that have an impact on the mentioned aspects and treat the source, make changes within causes, not within consequences. The study Access and equity in higher education in Romania provides an in-depth analysis of the most important factors for having a useful ra- diography of the educational system. As graduation proves an essential factor in EU’s poli- cies for developing a knowledge-based economy, for having a trained workforce with a high level of education that can manage on a competitive labor market (p.13), the research carried out by the authors is relevant.
