  • 摘要:As da y b y day a pplicatio n g rows int ernet re quires la rge amo unt of b andwidth. Op tica l Burst Swit ching (OBS) is the next g eneration op tical Internet with IP over WDM as the core architecture. It can achieve a ba lance bet ween Optica l Ci rcuit Swi tching (OCS) and Op tica l Pa cket Switching (OPS). Opt ical network supports huge b and width and t ransmits data at an averag e ra te of 50 Tb/s. But we need to expl oit t he fiber's huge bandwid th t hrough WDM which is t he current fa vori te multip lexing techno logy in Optica l co mmunica tion net work s. OBS is a trust ed mecha nism used fo r op tical switching. Opt ical burst switching has been positioned a s a viable means of i mplementing optical co mmunication efficiently.
