摘要：Objecti ve of this work is to recognize the hand written digits repre sented in black -and-whi te rectangular pixel displ ays usin g El man neural network (ENN). ENN is on e of the si mplest supervised multi l ayer neural networks. The performan ce param eters like speed-u p, an d pro cessing ti me are evaluated fo r sequenti al implementation with and withou t adaptive learning rate.
