摘要：S oftware similari ties or cl ones are k nown to hinder th e software mainten ance process. Clones manife st themselves in at fi ne as well as coars e granularity. The sign ifican ce of extractin g coarse grai ned s imilarity or hi gh l evel clones lies in its benefits to reengi neering, reuse , reve rse engineerin g an d program un derstandi ng. The proble m of min ing proce ss for high level similari tie s thus becomes important. We propose a framework for mi ning high leve l clones in software . A case stu dy h as be en applie d to few phase s of th e mining process, it can be a starting poin t for understandin g and analyzin g high le vel cl ones for their semi automate d de te ction and re factoring.
