摘要：The i mpetus focus is on to provi de h igh data transf er and u tilization of hi gh bandwidth, so th e era of computer network s co mpleted a jou rney from co-axial, twisted pairs cables to optical cables migrating from SONET/SDH to WDM technol ogy based networks. WDM network conce rns to logi cal topology derived on given physical topol ogy i mplemented th rough lightpath rou ting. So a single physical lin k (optical fiber) failu re may re sult to many li ghtpaths breakage. This paper deal s with various aspects conce rned to WDM based n etwo rks i n context to failure of fiber links in WDM optical networks and the su rvivability aspects in WDM based n etworks.
