摘要：We have carried out distorted wave (DW) calculations for the electron impact 4 2S ¨C 4 2P resonance excitation of potassium. The results for alignment and orientation parameters are obtained and co mpared w ith the very recent superelastic electron scattering measurements from the laser excited 4 2P states of potassium. The validity of DW method is co mmented upon.
