  • 摘要:This new issue ofApproachesmarks thebeginningof the third year of the journal'slife!Celebratingthis anniversaryandthe successful completionoftwo years ofthe journal'spublications, thefirstarticle presents a review ofApproachesfrom 2009onwards.This reviewoutlinesthe profile of thejournal andpresentsan analysis of its publications.Theoutcomesemergingfrom this analysis arediscussed on a broader basis taking into account thecontemporarystateofmusic therapyand specialmusiceducationin Greece(Papanikolaou2011;Tsiris 2011).Following thisreview,an article byDeborahParker entitledReading the Music andUnderstanding the Therapeutic Process:Documentation, Analysisand Interpretation ofImprovisational Music Therapyis presented.In thisarticle the authoraddressesvarious questionsregarding the documentation and presentation ofclinical material from improvisationalmusictherapy¨Ca topic that is often at theheart ofmusictherapy discoursesoneducational,professional, andresearch levels(e.g.,Bergstr.m-Nielsen 2009,2010; Wosch&Wigram 2007). Parkerproposesamodelfordocumentingmaterialfrom musictherapysessionswheretraditional music notationiscombined with graphical representations andwritten analysis. The practical application of thismodel isillustratedthrough a case study ofindividual music therapywith a woman withautism. This case study is accompanied byrelevantsound excerptswhichcontribute to furtherunderstanding of the proposed model.Theabovearticles are followed by threebookreviewswritten fromexperts who come fromdifferent countriesof the world.
