其他摘要：This paper discusses the popular parties as some cultural resources to be converted into immaterial patrimony and, therefore, need protection and safeguard in order to be preserved and transmitted to the future generations in face of the tourism referring to socio-cultural, political and merchandising aspects. As a cultural manifestation, parties contribute to the cultural identity affirmation of local communities, providing cultural diversity and attracting an expressive number of tourists. An historical and observational research permits to outline some features of this reality, including the popular party origin in Brazil and its regional importance, allowing on the second moment to analyze changes, benefits or damages caused by the tourist public policies developed in this country
