摘要:This paper posits that the growth of big data has paralleled Moore's Law, which stated that the number of transistors that could fit onto a silicon chip would double roughly once every two years. It presents a comprehensive definition of big data in a theoretical context grounded by Moore, Shannon, Weaver, Turing, and Ackoff; coins technological leaps and endpoints of an evolving roadmap that views big data as becoming; and suggests that future technology will move our understanding of big data from unintelligible symbols to valuable information that will eventually become knowledge
