This is an exploratory study of interpersonal conflict handling in different organizations in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study draws from and builds on the premise that modern organizations thrive on teamwork, collaboration and interdependence; this situation necessitates more interaction and better interpersonal communication skills than before. This paper analyzes the causes of conflicts, the conflicting situations, ways in which conflicts are handled, frequency of conflicts and whether or not communication helped in the resolution of conflicts and explores their inter-relationships in different types of organizations. Based on the data gathered from multi-national, government and other organizations based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the study shows that "the type of organization" has significant influence on "cause of conflict", "frequency of conflict" and "the mode of resolution of conflict" at 5% level of significance. "The situation of conflict" has significant impact on "frequency of conflict" and "the mode of resolution of conflict". The study establishes that "the mode of resolution of conflict" depends on "the frequency of conflict" and "communication as a means of resolution of conflict". It is also observed that the conflicts get resolved in most of the situations.
