摘要:Purpose of this study was to examine the reliability and validity of the Turkish adaptation of Beliefs about Mathematical Problem Solving Instrument that was developed by Kloosterman and Stage (1992). The adapted instrument can also be used to determine elementary preservice teachers beliefs about mathematical problem solving. Data gathered from 240 elementary preservice teachers were used for Explaratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to determine the structure of factor loading. The number of the factors in original instrument remained but the factor loading among sub-scales were different. The cronbach alpha coefficient for the overall instrument was 0.78. The instrument is valid and reliable and appropriate to use in Turkish culture.
