摘要：Neste artigo tenta-se fazer uma análise das relações entre o Estado Russo e a Igreja Ortodoxa Russa antes da revolução comunista de 1917, bem como durante a existência da União das Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas (1917-1991). A principal atenção é concentrada nas etapas e formas de perseguição da Igreja Ortodoxa Russa pelas autoridades comunistas, embora estas proclamassem a liberdade de consciência e de culto religioso. Debruçamo-nos também sobre a forma como o regime comunista tentava utilizar a Igreja Ortodoxa na sua política internacional.
其他摘要：This paper aims to analyse the relationship between the Russian state and the Russian Orthodox Church before the Communist revolution of 1917 and during the existence of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (1917-1991). The main focus is concentrated on the different stages and forms of persecution on the Russian Orthodox Church by the communist authorities, though they proclaimed the freedom of conscience and religious worship. Also, we analyse the different ways in which the communist regime tried to use the Orthodox Church in its international policy.
