摘要：T he aim of the study was on explor ing the relationship between s tress and optimism of college students, s tress and life satisfaction of college students, as well as to inves tigate the relationship between optimism and life s atisfaction among college students. The sample compr ised 100 students 50 male and 50 female students studying in four different institutes of Lahore. A demographic survey was obtained from each participant. This form included questions r egarding the participant's age, sex, educational status, and ins titute. The Per ceived Str ess Scale designed by Cohen, Kamarck, and Mermelstein (1983). The rev ised L ife Orientation Test (LOT -R; Scheier, Carv er, & Bridges, 1994). Satisfaction with L ife Scale (SWL ) dev eloped by Diener, Emmons and Larsen et al., (1985) as a measur e of global life s atisfaction were us ed in the s tudy. Results revealed that s tress had a significant and inv erse relationship with optimism and life satisfaction among college s tudents
