摘要：Histogram equalization (HE) is a simple and widely used image contrast enhancement technique. The basicdisadvantage of HE is it changesthe brightnessof the image. In order to overcome this drawback, variousHE methods have been proposed.These methodspreservesthebrightness onthe output image but,does nothaveanaturallook. Inorder to overcome thisproblemthe,presentpaperusesMulti-HEmethods,whichdecompose the imageinto several sub images, andclassical HE method is appliedto each sub image. Thealgorithm is applied on various images and has been analysed using both objective and subjectiveassessment
