摘要:Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most commonneuropsychiatric disorders of children. ADHD is characterized by a persistent pattern ofover activity, inattention and impulsivity that is pervasive across situations. ADHD runs achronic course and persists over time presenting risks for later development and impairedfunctioning in adulthood [1,2].ADHD is a disorder that may affect all aspects of a child's life. ADHD has an impact onactivities such as homework, family routines and playing with other children. Allrelationships between ADHD children and others are negatively affected [3]. ADHD isalso associated with an increased risk for accidents among children [4]. Families ofchildren with ADHD are affected by the disorder in many ways like disturbedinterpersonal relationships, less perceived family cohesiveness and greater conflict,depression in parents, higher incidences of divorce and separation and an adverse effecton the parents' work status and work productivity [5,6].
