摘要：The paper aims to synthesize the main initiatives of the international community in order to create the premises of sustainable development implementation. The international community has decided to deal with the environmental issues by taking collective measures at global level, and tried to define and apply them by creating an adequate international framework. This international framework has been formed over time and it has a dynamic evolution, including legal binding actions in the form of treaties or conventions, or non-binding nature, such as declarations, resolutions or sets of guidelines and policy guidelines, institutional measures and sustainable financing mechanisms
