其他摘要：Importa nt missions for securing the environmental sustainability fail to each individuals and institutions. The main purpose of this study is to observe teacher candidates' approaches on environmental pollution, their views on non-governmental environmental organizations, and their thoughts on environmental solutions, in order to reveal their sensitivity on the matter of environmental training. Additionally, the study aims to evaluate the environmental actions of non-governmental organizations. The study was conducted in the 2010-2011 academic term on 37 volunteer students of the Science, Mathematics and Social Sciences Teacher program of the Faculty of Education at Siirt University. The results were remarkable, in that teacher candidates are familiar about the functions of non-governmental organizations, while only understanding them partially. This situation reveals the fact that despite receiving environmental training, non-governmental environmental organizations are not able to achieve their purpose
