  • 摘要:This paper discusses problems of analysis and optimization for rectangular microstrip antenna. For analysis, many methods have been developed to calculate the resonant frequency of a microstrip antenna using rectangular cavity models. The analysis of the structure is based on the model of the cavity, introducing the concept of dynamic permittivity takes into account effects of edges of fields. Results obtained with dynamic permittivity model show better agreement with the experimentalmeasurements.About the optimization, we present a comparative study between two approaches. These approaches are: genetic algorithms and minimax method. While both approaches aim to seek the optimal parameters of a microstrip antenna, so that the antenna satisfies the constraint (a resonant frequency).
