摘要：This paper has tested the relationship between import openness and economic growth for OECD economies. The endogeneity of import openness is addressed by instrumentation strategy based on geographical characteristics. Results show that both actual import openness and also instrumented import openness are significantly correlated with economic growth. Labour force and financial development are also positively and significantly related with per capita GDP. Further results show that population density and investment are statistically insignificant
