摘要:The antibacterial activities of different concentration of the CdO nanoparticles were tested by treating Escherichia coli (Gram negative) cultures with CdO nanoparticles. Study indicates that cadmium oxide nanoparticles show effective antibacterial activity toward the gram-negative bacterium E. coli. Cadmium oxide nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized from CTAB/n-butyl alcohol/cyclohexane/water as water -in- oil microemulsion. A rational mechanism of synthesis based on fusion, aggregation, and coalescence of microemulsion droplets is proposed for the selective formation of different morphologies.
