摘要:Campus and enterprise wireless networks are increasingly characterized by ubiquitous coverage and rising traffic demands. Efficiently assigning channels to access points (APs) in these networks can significantly affect the performance and capacity of the WLANs. In this paper we show that communication efficiency can be improved significantly with adaptable transmission through multihop routing. First, we fix the data rate to some constant value i.e. 20 packets/sec then we vary the data rate according to the present network condition. By using Admission control concept we adapt the data rate of the network's data flows. If there is no packet loss or there network is under normal condition we increase the data rate to higher value i.e. sending more packets than 20pak/sec otherwise we reduce the data rate to normal value. The Advantages are 1. The throughput is increased in the network 2. We avoid congestion in the netw ork. In this paper we consider four parameters (Throughput, packet drop, packet delivery ratio, energy) with the existing method (CACAO). We conduct extensive simulation study and comparisons using network simulator 2(NS2).
