摘要:The rapid development in communication technology has given rise to strong research interest on Wireless Networks. In recent years many researchers have focused on designing routing schemes which would successfully operate on the real time environment of Mobile Adhoc network (MANET). MANET is a collection of mobile devices and is self-configuring, dynamically changing, multi-hop wireless network. Forwarding packets through this dynamic changing network is a challenging issue. Most existing MANET protocols are suggested by considering different scenarios of mobile nodes of MANET which function properly in an optimistic manner. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the environment based protocol under mobility induced link breaks. The Single Path Reactive Routing Protocol AODV and Multipath reactive routing protocol AOMDV considered to analyze the performance. The decision is made by taking the quantitative performance metrics packet delivery ratio, average end to end delay, throughput of AODV and AOMDV using Network Simulator NS-2. The performance comparison of AODV and AOMDV results that AOMDV is best suitable when there is a link break due to mobility with reduced packet loss ratio, end to end delay, and improved throughput
