摘要:Research results indicate that anxiety has significant effects on foreign languagelearning. This paper aims to present a synthesis of research activities related to anxietyin foreign language learning. Depending on the purpose, the studies were summarizedchronologically in the subtitles of identification of anxiety, causes of anxiety, the effectsof anxiety on foreign language learning, the ways to allay anxietyand the studies inTurkey. It was considered that the paper will contribute to reserach activities and theincrease of awareness of target groups such as teachers, learners and teacher trainers
