摘要:OBJETIVES: The objective of this research is to measure user satisfaction with chlorine in indoor swimming pools and know what health problems they perceive related to this chemical treatment, using variables such as age, gender and experience.METHODS: We analyzed the satisfaction of 421 users from 12 public indoor pools in the region of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain) using a satisfaction questionnaire instrument designed and validated for the occasion.RESULTS: Users claim that their health problems should be significantly to the chemical substance. On the other hand, more experienced swimmers with previous illness perceive more health problems. Also, a high percentage indicates that they would swim in a better way without chemical odors and flavors.CONCLUSIONS: The Chlorine chemical treatment directly affects the health of a high percentage of users, highlighting the subjects who already have previous illness. Likewise, this chemical treatment also generates feelings of discomfort in users about swimming
