摘要：This paper presents the key-elements regarding domestic competitiveness, in the context of increasinginterdependencies among countries. Also, the author underlines the role of direct foreign investments inthe development of all economic sectors, illustrating by significant figures the recent years' progress inthis field. A special attention is paid to the Republic of Moldova, therefore the article presents the presentrestraints and opportunities in attracting direct foreign investments
