摘要：The objective of the research is to perceive basic trends of vegetable production in European Union, andthen turning to production characteristics in Republic of Serbia. The paper analyzes some parameters ofvegetable production, such as: harvested area, total yield and yield per area unit. Another research taskis also the quantification of changes and identification of the factors that determined the manifestedproduction movement.Authors point out basic problems and state necessary measures, which will affect the increment of volumeand needed quality of national vegetable production, in other words they present possible exits from theobvious crisis in which this branch has been in the last few years.The research is based on available data. The research period is 2003-2007.
