摘要:Purpose: To assess attit udes towards euthanasia among medical st aff (hospice workers and nurses not working in hospice), nursing student s and family members of pat ients in hosp ice. Materials and methods: The st udy group included 565 persons: 175 nursing student s, 183 professio -nally-active nurses not working in ho spice, 103 hospice workers and 104 family members of pat ients in ho spice. We used the o rigin al questionnaire survey. Results: Nearly half of the nurses, 49.6% of the student s, 71.8% of the hospice workers and 45.2% o f the family members were opposed to active eut hanasia, whereas, 24.6% of the nurses, 32.4% of t he students, 19% of the family members and 9% of t he hospice workers supported euthanasia. Nurses suppo rted the following forms of euthanasia: stopping resuscitation (47.5%), discontinuing life-suppo rt equipment (24%), and let hal in ject ion (12%). In the st udent gro up, 43.6% supported sto pping resuscitation, 34.4% suppo rted the withdrawal o f life-support equipment, and 12.6% suppo rted lethal inject ion. Almo st 46% o f family members o f patients in hospice accepted disco ntinuing life-support equipment and 21.2% suppo rted stopping resu scit ation. Nearly 37% of hosp ice workers accepted stopping resuscitat ion and 28.6% supported the withdrawal of life-support equipment. Mo st hospice workers were o ppo sed to act ive euthanasia while most of the nursing students suppo rted it. Conslusion: The legalizat ion of euthanasia was favored by most of the students; however, in co ntrast, it was rarely favored by t he hospice workers
