The aim of the research was to present the treatment of dental caries and malocclusion in children and youth between 6 and 18 years.

The research covered 38 706 children from the West-Pomeranian Province. The results deriving from powiat towns and gmina’s have been compared together. They have shown that there are no statistic differences in the number of carietic defects requiring treatment among children at the age of 11, 12 and 15 years who live in powiat towns and gmina’s. A sudden increase in the number of defects requiring treatment was found in children over the age of 15, mainly from gmina local communities. The number of occlusion defects was greater in children from powiat towns, however the observed differences were not statistically significant.
