摘要：O presente trabalho tem como objetivo demonstrar a intrínseca rela..o existente entre as fei..es físicas da paisagem cárstica e suas potencialidades para a atividade espeleoturística em Iraquara, abrangendo sua estrutura de produ..o sob o ideário do ecoturismo sustentável. Ser.o discutidos alguns conceitos acerca da atividade espeleoturística nacional, regional e local, destacando o espeleoturismo na Caverna Lapa Doce I e suas especificidades para o município de Iraquara. Foram também apontados alguns impactos ambientais negativos encontrados no Sistema Lapa Doce, tais como a mudan.a de colora..o dos espeleotemas, devido à infiltra..o de argila, a grande concentra..o de sedimentos nas paredes e forma..es da caverna, dentre outros, bem como sua rela..o com o espeleoturismo. Tais considera..es foram feitas através de pesquisas de campo e levantamento bibliográfico de forma a permitir uma análise ambiental do Sistema Lapa Doce e uma vis.o crítica da atividade turística praticada em Iraquara. O trabalho de campo possibilitou ainda identificar as rela..es existentes entre a filosofia ecoturística, o turismo sustentável e o espeleoturismo no município. 其他摘要：This work aims at demonstrating the existing close relation between physical appearances of the karst landscape and its potential for speleotourism activities in Iraquara, which covers its production structures under the so-called sustainable ecotourism perspective. The physical characterization of the studied area was the very first theoretical bases for the development of this study by demonstrating the main aspects of the karst features of Iraquara's region with a focused attention to the Lapa Doce system. It was also discussed some concepts of the speleotourist activity in national, regional and local terms. It was highlighted the speleotourism in the Lapa Doce 1 Cave and its specificities in Iraquara. It was evident some negative environmental impacts in Lapa Doce, such as the changes in the speleotemas colour due to clay infiltrations together with a great concentration of soil on its walls and formations and also the relation to speleotourism itself. Field study and biographic study were applied in order to achieve these considerations mentioned above, but mainly to allow a more effective environmental analysis of the Lapa Doce system and a critical view of the tourist activity practiced in Iraquara. The field study was essential to identify the existing relations amongst an ecotourist philosophy, the sustainable tourism and the speleotourism in the surroundings of Iraquara. As a result, some possible actions are proposed in order to contribute in the discussions concerning environmental preservation, economical development and sustainable tourism
