摘要：A capacidade de carga tem sua origem no manejo agrícola e pecuário, considerando, de forma geral, as características e limita..es do ambiente para a determina..o de um nível desejável de uso. No turismo, sua aplica..o é feita tanto no planejamento quanto na gest.o, visando à limita..o do uso turístico de uma área em fun..o de aspectos ambientais, ecológicos, culturais, sociais e econ.micos. A maioria dos métodos de capacidade de carga turística existentes é determinística e pouco flexível, o que se torna uma dificuldade para a gest.o dos destinos e atrativos turísticos. Buscando contornar esta característica, foi desenvolvido um método de determina..o da capacidade de carga turística que leva em conta os determinantes ambientais estipulados em estudos temáticos, mas com níveis diferenciados de pondera..o em fun..o de suas fragilidades relativas à presen.a humana. O método foi originalmente concebido para uso em cavernas, sendo possível sua adapta..o para outros tipos de ambiente. Os resultados obtidos permitiram a obten..o de níveis de uso considerados adequados em um consenso de especialistas das mais distintas áreas do conhecimento, aliando a conserva..o ao uso responsável do ambiente. Além disso, o método proporcionou a ampla oportunidade de participa..o das comunidades afetadas e stakeholders do turismo no processo decisório, ampliando, assim, o sentimento de pertencimento e o seu envolvimento efetivo
其他摘要：The carrying capacity was originated in the management of agriculture and pecuary, considering, in a general way, the characteristics and limitations of the environment for to determinate a desirable level of use. In the tourism, its application is made both in the planning as in the management phase, with the objective of establishing tourist use levels in function of aspects of environment, ecology, culture, society and economy. The most of the methods of tourist carrying capacity is deterministic and few flexible, which became in a difficulty to managers of tourist destinations and attractions. The present method is an attempt to contour this characteristic, using for this the environmental determinations identified in thematic studies, but considering its relative fragility, weighted in relationship with the human presence. The method was originally created for to be used in caves, but its adaption for other environments is possible. The results of its application allow the achievement of adequate levels of tourist use, in a consensus of specialists from distinct areas of knowledge, allying the environmental conservation with its responsible use. Beyond of this, the method provided a wide opportunity of participation of local communities and tourism stakeholders in the decision process, expanding with this their belonging feelings and effective involvement
