摘要:Hakka circular dwelling patterns constructed by the Cao clan in Zuoba Township, Dayu County, Jiangxi, were built in 1564 AD. Because these housing groups were located in valleys, this typical southern Jiangxi Hakka dwelling pattern met defense needs as well as others. According to Cao family genealogy, this clan descended from CAO Bin, a famous Northern Song Dynasty general. Plaques found in these houses also indicate clan links to CAO Can of Han Dynasty and CAO Zhi of Three States Period. The history and architecture of Cao dwelling patterns are worthy of further study
