摘要:Welcome to the second volume of Music Performance Research. We are very pleased to publish four papers reflecting the wide scope of the journal: a case study of a wind en-semble, originally presented during the course of the Behavioural Research in Chamber Music Conference held at RNCM in January 2008, insights into practice from a motor learn-ing perspective, an analysis of a recorded performance of Chopin's E minor Prelude, and an examination of sound level measurements in the music practice room. Demonstrating theoretical and empirical approaches, this volume highlights the variety of ways in which researchers can contribute to the study and development of music performance research. Whatever your own discipline, we encourage you to undertake and report research rele-vant to the topic of music performance, and invite you by submitting to the journal to share in its development and success
