摘要:Eight strains of lactic streptococci were examined for lysogeny by treatment with ultraviolet light and Mitomycin C. Induction of lysis in five strains de-mostrated what lysogenic state is very common in lactic streptococci. No one indicator strain has been found. The possible significance of lysogeny for cheese making practice has been discussed.
