其他摘要：The article discusses two most popular Lithuanian translations of the Gospel according to Luke (by Algirdas Jurėnas und Česlovas Kavaliauskas). Since the translators first of all concentrated their attention on the translations’ precision and clarity, these translations could serve as an example how these aims are achieved by using different means. The analysis of lexical differences showed that most numerous and diverse are differences of nouns. Thus, after a short discussion of lexical differences in general, the attention is focused on the differences of nouns. Comparing the translations among themselves and with the original text, as well as taking into account data of textual criticism showed some differences in the translators’ concept of translation’s precision. Namely, Jurėnas focuses his attention on finding an expression as close as possible to the original text and also tries to preserve the original’sstyle. Kavaliauskas, on the other hand, tries to convey in the most adequate way the realities contained in the context. Nevertheless, the same final aims and the view on the Bible, similarly understood responsibility of a translator, the contribution of many experts who helped in the process of work makes the translations close to each other. At the same time, differences in choices of wording show the breadth and diverseness of Lithuanian means of expression.
