The drama A Town Nearby by Iva.kevi.ius could be qualified as a detective eurodrama that attempts at creating a unified image of European citizenship; and the drama Mistras presents to the reader the history of world literature of the 19th century in its drama-specific form, with a distinct alternative offered for retaining the Lithuanian identity within the context of European cultural identity. The general tendencies in the eurodrama seem to be: radical going away from locally-characteristic forms of representation (in some cases), and referring to more extended spaces in their geographical terms (more commonly) as well as to the increased circle of national characters, with the situations readily created for obvious comparisons, naturally leading to critical reconceptualisation of the existing national and cultural stereotypes, and myths
